I’ve been MIA for well over a year, life just got on top of
me and needed to get on top of things.
But I’m back to share something exciting, well to me it’s
exciting and probably for most people who love fabulous hair.
Today’s post is about the Beauty works Tape Hair Extensions in
conjunction with none other than Justin Casey Hair Salon which I recently had
put in there. I wanted to have them in for a few months so I could see how good
they actually are, and wow.
So Previously I had bonded hair extensions put in over a
year ago. Regular bonded extensions are where your own hair is bonded together
by keratin glue to the extension. I did love them but I found them hard to
manage. I had them taking out and went a few months without any. But after
getting my colour done with my fav man “Justin Casey” in Justin Casey Salon in
Dundalk, I was like I need extensions again.
My hair is shoulder length and I
just wanted to add some volume and a lil bit more length to it. So, bae “Justin”
suggested I get the Beauty work tape extensions.
He matched me up to the perfect colour and I was back in the
hot seat the following week.
Normally with bond extensions they can take up to 3 hours or
more to get in, ugh haha. With the tapes, you can get them in little over an
hour. AMAZING!!
My hair can look full and fabulous when I’ve spent time
styling it, but it can look boring and flat on a day to day basis. I was super
excited to get these in. I sat down in my seat while Justin, prepared
the long thick and shiny hair. Can I just add the colour match was fab..
The hair when first put in was about 20 inches in length, which was cut
afterwards and blended into my own hair. (See the video below)
The pre-taped extensions were attached using a strip of ‘grade
tape’ which means the tape is extra secure and will withstand washing, drying
and styling. Each strip takes seconds to apply.
The hair extensions actually improved my hair colour, which
was amazing to begin with anyway but even more amazing after. The texture and
volume were also ridiculously amazing.

The Tape in hair extensions lie flat to the root so there
are no bumps, have a weightless feel, and are super comfy to wear unlike some
extensions and cannot be seen.
The best thing about these babies, is that once
taking out, you can re-use the hair, they just have to be re-taped and the hair
looks like brand new when put back in.
I have had them out and re – taped already and I am super
impressed, washing, drying and styling has never been so easy with extensions.
Washing
- Wash and style your hair extensions just like you would your own hair.
- Never sleep with your hair or your extensions wet. Dry through the extensions and ensure they are dry especially at the root.
- Don’t use extremely heavy shampoo on the extensions, I find that Redken is the best to keep them nourished and healthy.
I would 100% recommend these. The tapes are transparent,
flexible and resistant. I was in and out of the hairdressers within 2 hours,
half an hour of that was spent taking lots of videos and photos, as every moment
is and insta opportunity.
